Connie (Consuelo) Apodaca, 84, born on July 16, 1941, in Santa Cruz, NM, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on February 8, 2026.

Connie was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Great-Great Grandmother, Mother-In-Law and Sister. She so loved her family with all her heart and soul. She brought so much joy and love to everyone who knew her, making them laugh and being silly with her wittiness. She lived for her children, and nobody mattered more to her. Not a day went by that she didn’t talk to her kids and grandkids numerous times a day.

She was a faithful servant to Our Lord; she was in her hospital bed, and even in her last breaths, she was still raising her hands, praising and worshiping him. Her favorite saying to all her family was “Leave it in God’s Hands and Give It To God”.

She was preceded in death by her Husband Joe (Jose) Apodaca, Parents Merced and Petrita Quintana, Brothers Leo and Joe G. Quintana, Angie Torres, Priscilla Quintana, and Rachel George (Like a Sister), Mother-in-Law Rosita H. Apodaca, and Daughter-in- Law Patricia Apodaca.

She is survived by her children, Dorothy Apodaca, Lisa Mora (Daniel), Manny Apodaca, and Angel Martinez (Dwayne). Together, Connie and Jose had four grandchildren Ricardo Herrera, Gabrielle Mora, Josh Apodaca, and Sean Baldonado, six great-grandchildren, Rico Herrera (Delila), Lucky Herrera (Amaryliis), Kristiana Herrera, Micah Herrera, Abrielle and Esai Baldonado, and two great-great-granddaughters Ariella and Illaria Herrera. She is also survived by her sisters Sally Maestas, Viola Maestas, Carmen Garcia, and Roberta Manzanares.
