Cleo Avila

Cleo Avila 93, a resident of Chimayo went to be with the Lord on December 5, 2021.

Cleo is preceded in death by her husband Joe Avila of 63 years, daughter Annette Avila and Parents Ramon and Pablita Jaramillo

Cleo Retired from the Espanola Public Schools as a head cook from the Chimayo Elementary.  She enjoyed sewing, listing to music and enjoyed the company of her family and friends.  She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Cleo is survived by her son John Avila, daughter Barbara Avila; granddaughter Angelica Trujillo; brother Samuel Jaramillo; nephews Michael Vigil, Michael Jaramillo, Johnny Jaramillo, and Wayne Jaramillo; nieces Debbie Gonzales, Sandra, Darlene and Elvida Vigil, Rose Martinez, Martha Chavez, and Nancy Jaramillo and many other relatives and friends too many to mention.

The family would like to thank Ambercare and all the nurses that tended to Cleo as well as Chaplin Mike, Father Julio for the prayers and friends, Luisita Pacheco, Juvenal and Mari Vasquez, and Ismael and Ruth Garcia

A rosary will take place on December 20, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo with a mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00 a.m. also at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial will follow at El Potrero Cemetery in Chimayo
