Christopher J. Duran

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Christopher J. Duran, 45, of La Puebla, New Mexico.  Chris passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.  

He was proceeded in death by paternal grandparents Juan and Bernie Duran; maternal grandparents Juan and Olympia Rodriguez; primo -hermano Jose Duran.   He is survived by his parents Emilio and JoAnn Duran, daughter Savannah and son-in-law Larry, son Diego Duran, grandchildren Lareigh, Adriel and Liam.  Brother, Joshua and wife Erminda, sister Pamela and husband Ricardo and brother Dominic.  Nephews, Sam, Raphael, Juan and Dominic; Nieces, Emily and Sonrisa, and great nephew Joaquin.

Chris will be most remembered for his zest for life, his generosity, love for horses but most importantly the love he had for his children and grandchildren.

A Public Visitation will begin on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 5:30 pm in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home and rosary to follow at 7:00 pm.  A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 11:00 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Santa Cruz, New Mexico.  A Private burial will take place at a later date.
