Celina “Sally” Roybal (1930-2024)

Sally Roybal, 93, of El Rancho, NM, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 27, 2024. She was born in El Rancho, NM, on September 18, 1930, to Antonio and Ursulita Trujillo. Many remember all the years Sally worked at La Mesita restaurant in Pojoaque, attending the San Antonio Catholic Church in El Rancho, joining all the events at the El Rancho Senior Citizen Center, or camping with friends and family in the mountains that she loved. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Antonio and Ursulita Trujillo, in-laws Fabian and Ninfa Roybal, husband Fernando Roybal, brothers Tony Trujillo, Billy Trujillo, Leroy Trujillo, sister Lupita Martinez and her son Floyd Roybal. 

She is survived by her son Luis Roybal, grandchildren Desire Salgado, Jonathan Roybal, Risa Roybal, and Alegra Roybal; great-grandchildren, Trinity Roybal, Syler Salgado, Avery Salgado and Aidan Roybal; sisters MaryAnn Garcia and Ida Gutierrez. 

The family would like to share special gratitude to caregiver Renee Romero and Ambercare for their services and support.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pojoaque, NM. The burial will be at El Rancho Catholic Cemetery.
