Celina Marie Gonzales, 48, went home to our Heavenly Father on May 21, 2022. She passed away peacefully with family by her side.
Celina is preceded in death by her parents Shirley Vasquez and Rogelio Gonzales, son-in-law Daniel Keith Ramirez, sisters Ignacita Vasquez, Cheryl Rendon, brother Felix Vasquez, nieces MaryEllen Sandoval (Mickey Gonzales) and Jennifer Vasquez, nephew Troy Vasquez and great nephew Justin Gonzales, great niece Kaitlyn Chavez, brother-in-laws Rick Rendon and Donald Atencio,
Celina is survived by her children, daughters Candida Aragon and Nevaeh Trujillo, her son Marcos Padilla, brothers Bonifacio (Sandra) Vasquez, Alfred (Pam) Fresquez, George (Lorraine) Vasquez; sisters Marie Vasquez, Eva (Calvin) Romero, father of Neveah and Marcos, Paul Trujillo, and all of her Tio's and Tia's, nephews and nieces and many other relatives whom she loved dearly.
Celina was a free spirit and had a great sense of humor, she was always joking around. She had a huge heart; she was kind and loving. When she loved, she loved with everything she had! She gave the best hugs ever. She was an amazing cook. Celina was dealt a very challenging life and endured so much but she was so very strong.
Celina loved her children and family so very much! Anyone that became a part of her life, she loved and cherished. Celina will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
We would like to thank the staff at Espanola Presbyterian Hospital, especially Tish Tyler, Brandon Snow, Cheryl Marita and Jason Gonzales and also the staff at Christus St. Vincent for their compassion and wonderful care.

Honorary Pallbearers are Nikki and Roland Rendon, Alexus Portillo, Eloy, Diego, Alyssa, Evangeline and Justin Sandoval, Luke Fresquez, Isaac Troy Vasquez, Dylan and Amanda Vasquez, Jesslyn and Mckenna Colombe, Ava Judd, Franco Jr. and Mason Atencio, Isaac Gurule.
A Catholic Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at the San Antonio de Padua Church in Penasco, NM. Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. followed by a mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Llano de San Juan Catholic Cemetery. Due to the Pandemic, the family will not be having a reception.
