Carmen Sandoval

Carmen Yanez Sandoval 65, of ElRito passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 24, 2022 at Presbyterian Hospital in Espanola, New Mexico.

She was born January 31,1957 in Alameda California to Ernesto and Maclovia Yanez.

She was preceded in death by her father Ernesto "Chema" Yanez, Mother Maclovia Yanez, Brother Ernest "Sonny" Yanez, Sister Rebecca Yanez and Grandson Carlos Hurtado.

She is survived by her husband Juan Sandoval. Her children Layla Yanez (Miguel), Rosalinda Hurtado, Ernest Yanez and Jordan Yanez.

Her Grandchildren Amber Gee and Aleida Yanez. Her great grandchild Carlos "CJ" Hurtado Jr.

Nephews Joaquin Yanez and Robert Yanez

She is also survived by her Aunt Joann Lopez (Andres) whom she shared a special bond with. Aunts Adelicia Vidal and Dolores Trujillo. Uncles Dennis Trujillo (Carmen) and Juan Rocha.

Special Cousins Salome Trujillo de Torres (Anthony), Leo Trujillo Jr (Lillian), Elena Rocha ( Doug) and Angel Trujillo ( Patricia)

Carmen was a very loving and selfless person with a big heart and always went above and beyond for the people she loved. She had the best sense of humor and was always laughing and joking around. She loved her music especially  oldies and loved to dance. She was the best cook and enjoyed baking. She will be remembered for her unconditional love and endless support that she had for her children and will be greatly missed.

Services for Carmen will begin on Saturday April 9, 2022 with a public visitation at 6:00pm with a rosary to follow at 7:00pm.
