CARLOS D GALLEGOS SR 66, A resident of Alcalde born to Jose Medardo and Teresa Gallegos on April 9, 1959, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025. He was preceded in death by his grandson Donvan Rael; father, Jose Medardo Gallegos; Father-in-law Harold I Romero Sr. brothers, Nick (Spook), Eddie (Flappers) Manuel (Monju) sister, Donna Gallegos, and grandparents who he was raised by Fidel and Adelina Martinez from Rio Chama; Julian and Trinidad Gallegos from El Rito brother-in-laws, Orlando and Harold Romero; nieces and nephews Rosanne, Liza, Antonio Gallegos, Fabian Velarde, Harold Romero 3rd. He is survived by his wife the love of his life Melissa Gallegos of 37 years. Son Carlos Jr (Gloria) Gallegos, daughter's Janice (Fernando) Loera, Kayleen Gallegos (Aaron), special grandson Domian Gallegos, granddaughter Janae Martinez, granddaughter he raised like his own Shayna, Mia & Lexi Rael. His Mother Teresa Gallegos, sister whom he called Mi hita Sadie (Louis) Martinez, brothers Gilbert (Germana), Michael, Ray (Margaret), Jackie (Diane) Gallegos, Bill Martinez, Mother in-law Ymelda Romero, sister in-law Germaine (Bernie) Romero, Betty Gallegos, Patricia (Manuel) Cardoza, Marina Garcia, special niece whom he helped raise Andrea Martinez (Andrew) Carlos was a wonderful husband to his wife, Melissa. He loved all his grandchildren, He also had a special love for Anthony and Juanito Martinez who he watched grow up like his own grandchildren. He loved his nephews and nieces dearly. He was a Craftsman by trade. He loved making knives. He worked for Degangj Designs. Carlos likes spending time with his son, Carlitos and grandson Domain. He also loves spending time with Lexi and Mia. His granddaughters, whom he was raising. Carlos will be greatly missed. Serving as pallbearers Domian Gallegos, Anthony, Juanito Martinez, Louis Martinez, Fernando Loera, Aaron Sanchez honorary pallbearers Bill Martinez, Eric (Beaver) Garcia.Rayescito Gallegos, Archie Bustos, Marvin Romero, and grandchildren, nieces nephews.

A public visitation will begin on Thursday July 31, 2025, at 5:00 pm followed by a rosary at 6:00 pm in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home. A mass of Christian Burial will take place on August 1, 2025 at 11:00 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church followed by a burial at La Villita Cemetery in Alcalde.
