Carla - Age 40 - La Puebla - War

CARLA MARIE WAR, 40, a resident of La Puebla, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 following a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Jose H. War and Sophia Zamora; maternal grandparents, Abenicio and Gertrudes Martinez; father, Joe L. War, Jr.; uncle, Gary Padilla and aunt, Mabel War. Carla was full of life and loved her children and grandchild. She had many friends and will be missed by many. Ms. War is survived by her mother, Emma King and companion Armando Aranda; children, Jesse and Emma War; grandson, Jesse War all of Española; companion, Melvin Trujillo; brothers, Ben and Jeanette War of La Puebla and Tommy and Consuelo War of Española; sisters, Emily War Arzabela of Amarillo, Texas, Josie and Jimmy Martinez of La Mesilla; very close cousin, Rosa Mier-Lozoya; favorite uncle, Mel Martinez; favorite aunt, Bertha Galvan; grandmother, May Maestas and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Friday, April 19, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic Church in Canjilon. Burial will take place at a later date. The family of Carla Marie War has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
