Brianna Rose Knight (Nana), of Española, New Mexico, suddenly passed away on August 8, 2026, at the age of 28.

Brianna was a beautiful soul with an infectious smile, a calm and soothing nature, and a wonderful sense of humor. From a young age, she was inquisitive and curious, always asking “Why?” until she was satisfied with the answer. She was a true daddy’s girl and cherished her time with her father.

Brianna loved her family deeply and fiercely, always standing up for and protecting those she loved. She treasured spending time with them, whether taking long walks around the neighborhood, traveling, playing with her nieces, or cuddling up for a movie.

Brianna had a passion for makeup and enjoyed the art and process of perfecting her look. She loved sharing that passion with the girls in her family, creating special memories together. She was beautiful and knew it, carrying herself with confidence while also having a loving and gentle heart.

Above all, Brianna was a loving mother to her son, Jeremiah, and a loving auntie who adored her nieces. Her family finds comfort in knowing that her love will remain with them always. She will forever be Jeremiah’s guardian angel, watching over him and all those she loved.

Though her life was far too short, Brianna leaves behind cherished memories, endless love, and a beautiful legacy that will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. May our Nana rest in peace, her memory will never fade.

Brianna was preceded in death by her brother, Ryan Rivera; grandfather, Jerry Knight; uncle, Samuel Griego; great-grandmothers, Maria Ruby Knight and Lorraine Hernandez; and aunt, Kayleen Rivera.

She is lovingly remembered by her son, Jeremiah Lopez; mother, Yvette Rivera; father, Johnathon Knight; stepmother, La Tasha Knight; grandmother, Frances Griego; grandfather, John Rivera; grandmother, Donna Baca; siblings, Alexis Knight, and Miracle Rivera; stepbrothers, Dominick and Rhyine Romero; nieces, Ariana Knight, Jaylenn Gallegos, and Hope Olivia; aunts, Jill Baca (Jorge Serrano) and Felica Knight (Hank Gallegos); cousins; Henry Gallegos; Raeann Yates; and many other family members, friends, and loved ones.

A Memorial Service will take place on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at DeVargas Funeral Home. The Burial will take place on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at Dixon Apostolic Cemetery at 11:30 a.m. 

Pallbearers are: Dominick Romero, Rhyine Romero. Jorge Serrano, Jerome Baca, Martin Romero Jr. and Matthew Romero.
