In Loving Memory of Brenda D. Ledezma (Valencia) Brenda D Ledezma (Valencia) It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Brenda Ledezma, After a long and challenging battle with health complications our beloved Brenda passed away May 21, 2026 surrounded by the love of those who cherished her most, leaving behind a legacy of compassion, strength, and unwavering love.

Brenda was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Amado "Tito" Valencia; her maternal grandfather, Jack Martin; her maternal grandmother, Viola Martin; her father, Eric Valencia; her stepfather, Peter Chavez; and her sister, Ashley Valencia.

Brenda was a wife, mother, amazing grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. known for her kind heart, infectious sense of humor, and her ability to make everyone feel welcome and accepted. She was a deeply caring and nonjudgmental soul who offered love, support, and understanding to anyone who crossed her path. Her compassion knew no bounds, and her loyalty to those she loved was steadfast. A woman of strong faith, Brenda's love for God guided her throughout her life. She lived boldly and fearlessly, meeting life's challenges with remarkable strength and determination. Through every season of life, she remained resilient, loving, and devoted to her family, faith and friends. More than anything, Brenda treasured her family. She found great joy in being a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and godmother. The love she shared with her family was immeasurable, and the memories she created will be cherished forever. Though our hearts are broken by her loss, we find comfort in knowing that her love, laughter, and spirit will continue to live on in all who knew and loved her. Brenda's life was a gift, and her memory will remain a blessing to those whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Brenda is lovingly survived by her husband, Javier A. Ledezma; her mother, Vivian Martin; her grandmother, Lucresia Valencia; her aunt, Cynthia Stevenson (David) her stepmother, Dolores Catanach; her twin brother, Brian Valencia (Stephanie) her brothers, Jason Valencia, Manuel Chavez, and Octavian Valencia (Juan) her sister, Paz Chavez; her daughter, Jacqueline Valencia (Morgan) her goddaughter, Haley Chavez (Carlos) her stepson, John Ledezma (Luzinda) and her cherished grandchildren, Estrella Vigil, Emilia Ledezma, Demetri Ledezma, Liam Ledezma, and Johnathan Ledezma. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were enriched by her love and presence.


A public viewing will be held on Tuesday June 16, 2026, at 5:30pm with a memorial service to follow at 6:00pm at DeVargas Funeral home.

 A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday June 17, 2026, at the Santa Cruz, United Methodist Church at 11:00am with a burial to follow at Rosario Cemetery at 1:00pm in Santa Fe, NM
