Bobby Frank Chi, 31, born in Los Alamos, New Mexico June 14th, 1982, unexpectedly passed away July 17th, 2013. Bobby was caring and loved life. He will be remembered for his ambitious pursuits of knowledge, new challenges, love of ghost hunting, and living in the moment. Bobby thrived on celebrating and enjoying life to the fullest and probably experienced more in his 31 years than most. He could light up a room with his energy and enthusiasm, bringing smiles and laughter to any situation.In 1995, Bobby left Los Alamos, NM where he traversedthe country. Bobby was a jack of all trades and pursued a variety of vocations. In 2009, Bobby pursued a career with the United States Army as a proud infantryman; where he met his wife Shannon in Hinesville, Georgia, while stationed at Ft. Stewart after bootcamp at Ft. Benning. Bobby recently returned to Los Alamos where he found employment at The Finishing Touch and was looking forward to setting roots. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. One of the greatest prides of his life was the birth of his daughter Jocelyn. We will forever be reminded of Bobby when we see her eyes. He was excited about joining The American Legion Riders of Los Alamos. Bobby is survived by his wife Shannon, his daughter Jocelyn, step-daughters Calandra and Cassidy, mother Lisa Carey, father Mitchell Chi, mother-in-law Calleen Callahan, grandparents Linnea and George Sarwinski, sister Monica Ireland and her husband Kevin, brother Skyler Chi, pseudo brother (cousin) Thaddeus Clancy, sister-in-law Kayla Callahan, brother-in-law Shane Callahan, two uncles Greg Sarwinski (Georgia) and George Sarwinski, two aunts Anna Swertfeger (Tom) and Anita Dunmar (Dave), neice Norah Ireland, cousins Ashley Sarwinski, Kameron Dunmar and a multitude of caring friends, and other extended family including Bruce Hawkins. Bobby is preceded in death by father-in-law Shaun Callahan, brother-in-law Allen Myers, and his pappaw Frank Hawkins. Services will be held Monday June 22, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Trinity-on-the-Hill Episcopal Church, 3900 Trinity Dr., Los Alamos, NM 87544 (505)-662-5107.
