Bobby Padilla

Bobby L. Padilla, 70, was born on January 14, 1951 in Mora, New Mexico. He passed away on December 23, 2021 at his home in Tierra Azul, New Mexico surrounded by his family.

Bobby is proceeded in death by his Father Agustin Padilla, his sisters Pauline Padilla-Rodriguez and infant sister Mary Padilla, grandparents Malaquias Padilla and Maria Crestina Padilla, Grandmother Lillia Lovato, his mother and father in-law Benedicto and Eva Montoya, his brother in-law Jose Hermino Montoya, also proceeded in death by his nieces Sonya Montoya, Renee Padilla, Tina De La Cruz and nephews Desi Mascarenas, John Edward Sanchez, and infant Enoch De La Cruz.

Bobby enjoyed his days spending time with his family, camping, fishing, hunting, and sometimes going to the casino. He also enjoyed watching his favorite NFL team the Dallas Cowboys. He also worked for many years as a truck driver for Tri-me Potato Company and at the Rio Grande Railroad as a laborer both in Monte Vista, CO.

Bobby is survived by his wife Tonie Padilla (Tierra Azul, NM.) of 48 years, his children Elaine Padilla (Tierra Azul, NM.) Lawrence Padilla (Monte Vista, CO.), Eva Padilla (Tierra Azul, NM.), David Padilla (wife Charlene) (Abiquiu, NM.) and Mauricio Montoya (Tierra Azul, NM.) His grandchildren D’Angelo Padilla, Krista Padilla (both from Tierra Azul, NM.) Aieshah Barela, Alicia Alaya (Monte Vista CO.) Alesio and Aspen Padilla (All from Abiquiu, NM.) His mother Rosie Padilla (Encinal, NM.) His siblings Elizabeth Montoya (Encinal, NM), Andy Padilla (wife Matilda) (Encinal, NM.), Mary Jean Sanchez (Rio Chama, NM) Joanne Padilla-Salas (Husband Dennis) (Holman, NM.) Agustin Padilla Jr. (Encinal, NM) Lillian Robles (husband Pedro) (La Jara, CO.) George Padilla (Wife Renee) (Rio Rancho, NM), Angelica Del La Cruz (Husband Esteban) (Encinal, NM.)

A memorial service will take place on January 6, 2022 from 2-4 in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, funeral will take place on January 8, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the Mora Church of Christ with burial to follow in Mora
