Betty Lou Espinoza, 74, a resident of El Llano, passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021 following a lengthy illness with her family by her side. Betty is proceeded in death by her mother, Georgia Vigil; grandmother, Aurora Sisneros; in-laws, Benito and Tita Espinoza; brothers, Dennis Vigil and John Vigil; sisters-in-law, Priscella Vigil and Annie Mendoza; brothers-in-law; Gene Lopez, Bill Mendoza and Carlos Naranjo; Niece, Theresa Lopez; nephews, George Lopez and William Naranjo.

Betty retired from the State of New Mexico in 1995. Betty was a loving and caring person who loved spending time with her family especially with her great grandkids. Betty enjoyed shopping, camping, going to the casino, gardening and spending time at their farm with her husband Robert and animals. Her loved ones will miss her dearly.

Betty is survived by her loving best friend, Robert Espinoza Sr. Son, Bob (Nicole) Espinoza; grandkids, Ashley (Andres) Espinoza, Bobby Espinoza and Nick (Lucrecia) Diaz; great-grandkids, Gracie, Andres Jr. and Lakendra; sister, Pauline Naranjo; brother, Manuel (Barbara) Vigil; sisters-in-law, Rosina Lopez and Shaya Lopez; brother-in-law, Ambrosio Espinoza and very special niece, Betty (Robert) Gallegos; nieces and nephews, Andrew Espinoza , Velvet Money, Crystal Gonzales, Debbie Archuleta, Benjie Lopez, Dennis John Vigil, Randy Vigil, Debbie Vigil, Juanita Vigil, Shanay Sherwood, Kevin Vigil, Cindy Diebold, Frankie Naranjo, Mark and Gilbert Vigil and countless relatives and friends she loved dearly.

The Espinoza family would like to send a special thanks to Ambercare, Betty Gallegos, Archie and Annabelle Valdez and everyone who has reached out to the family. The support was greatly appreciated.

A rosary will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 9:15 a.m.  at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada in Santa Cruz, followed by a Mass at 10:00 a.m.  Burial will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery.
