It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing away of our brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Benny George Benavidez. Benny at the time of his death was 75, born on May 30, 1951 to George and Porfidia Benavidez, in Albuquerque.

Although he was born in Albuquerque, he was raised in Espanola. At the age of 16 he went back to Albuquerque where he enrolled in the Job Corp and where he received his GED. Later he attended TVI and became a jeweler. A trade he truly enjoyed creating and repairing jewelry. Benny was also a Bible reader and loved to discuss what he read. He loved fishing and spending time in the mountains with his thoughts.

Benny was preceded in death by his parents George and Porfidia Benavidez; his brothers Bonifacio ( Bonny ), and Johnny Benavidez; sister-in-law Rose Benavidez; sister-in-law Carmela Benavidez; brother-in-law Paul Bernal; his sisters, Margret, Barbara, Josie and Terrie.

He is survived by his brothers Joseph and Gabriel Benavidez; sister Diane Bustos ( Michael ) and numerous nephews and nieces; great nephews and nieces.

A private burial will take place at a later date with No services.
