Benjamin (Benjie) Lovato

Benjie Lovato, 54, a resident of Española, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 21, 2018. He was preceded in death by his son, Benny Lovato; wife, Diane Mares; parents, Jose Lovato and Beatrice Lovato; brother, Joseph Lovato and nephew, JJ Lovato. Benjie was born on December 7, 1963. He enjoyed spending time with his kids, grandkids and family, working on cars and being outdoors. Benjie is survived by his daughters, Brandy Lovato and companion Willie Batista and Tammy Roybal; sisters, Marlene and Darlene; brother, Anthony Lovato; grandchildren, Brittany Martinez, Alexis Martinez, Mariah Batista, Patrick Martinez and Jeremiah Trujillo; great-grandson, Derick Martinez and numerous other relatives and friends. Services are pending at this time and will be announced as soon as they become available.  The family of Benjie Lovato has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
