Beatrice (Bee) Pauline Morton , 92, a resident of Los Alamos, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Henry Morton; mother, Pauline Parsons; son, William Alan Morton; brother, Gerald (Jerry) Parsons. During WWII, Beatrice worked as an engraver at Bremerton Naval Shipyard and as a teacher at a one room schoolhouse in Ninaview, Colorado. Bee enjoyed viewing fall colors and elk at Valle Grande Caldera. She was a homemaker, garden club member and a Los Alamos Christian Church member. Bee is survived by her son, Jerry Morton of Los Alamos; brother, Mark Parsons of Pueblo, CO; granddaughters, Tiffany Jaquez and Katelyn Ruiz of Aztec; grandson, Wesley A. Morton of Albuquerque; daughters-in-law, Kris Walden of Aztec and Chris Morton of Albuquerque; great-grandchildren, Luxe Jaquez, Fox H. Ruiz, Grizzly S. Ruiz and Duchess J. Jaquez all of Aztec; nephew, Chancy Parsons of Buena Vista, CO; nieces, Parla Goehl of Buena Vista, CO and Nancy Sanders of Edmonds, WA and sister-in-law, Madeline Howard of Buena Vista, CO. Public visitation will be held on Monday, November 5, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Burial will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Guaje Pines Cemetery in Los Alamos. The family of Beatrice (Bee) Pauline Morton has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
