It is with deep sadness and great love that we announce the passing of Beatrice A. Martinez, who passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026, at the age of 73.

Beatrice was born on November 19, 1952, to Jose Armando and Anita Trujillo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Anita; Her sister Micky, brothers Armando and Bobby.

Beatrice's greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and proud great-grandmother whose warmth and compassion touched everyone she met. She loved to cook, tell funny jokes, and make people smile.

She shared 51 wonderful years of marriage with the love of her life, Paul Martinez. Together, they built a family rooted in love and dedication.

Beatrice is lovingly survived by her husband, Paul Martinez; her children, Leora, Paul (Liz), Shannon, and Crystal; her beloved grandchildren, Desiree (Brandon), Anthony (Justina), Joe L (Tammie), Jasmine (Eved), JoePaul, Shaun, and Alianna+Pugsly. Her treasured great-grandchildren, Rider and Delilah. Sisters, Tina (Tim) and Louella (Larry). She also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten, Mama Bea's memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew/loved her. 🤍

Services will be held at DeVargas Funeral Home Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Joe L, Pablo, Brandon, Anthony, Kevin and Nathaniel.

Honorary Pallbearers: Rider, Shaun, JoePaul, Alianna, Tammie, Desiree, Justina, Jasmine,  and Delilah.
