Baltazar "Bubba" Mercure

Baltazar “Bubba” Mercure 51 departed from this life June 17, 2022. He is proceeded in death by his paternal grandparents Baltazar and Teresita Mercure, maternal grandparents Nicolas and Anna Maria Lopez. Uncles Placido and Jose Mercure, Patrick and Noberto Lopez. Aunts Antonia Aguilar, Beronice Archuleta and Margie Duran. Sister Veronica Mercure, grandson Baby Zayah and nephew Virgil Martinez.

Baltazar was born January 28, 1971. He grew up in Plaza Blanca, he later moved to Taos with his companion Julie. Baltazar was a generous man, he loved hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and horses. He was always joking and laughing and making new friends, he was loved by his friends and family and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his parents Isaac and Antonia Mercure, his daughters Amanda and Elora Mercure two grandchildren, his sister Anna (Phillip) Trujillo. Niece Angelica Mercure, three special nieces Elianha, Keyanha, Aryanha, his companion Julie Redwine. Aunts Lorraine Trujillo, Rose (Pedro) Torrez, Rachel Walker, Cristella (Martin) Gallegos, Uncles Carlos (Cheryl) Lopez, Gilberto (Stella) Mercure, Special cousins Norbert Jr. Ramon, Nicolas, Nevaeh, and Tanya.

A rosary is scheduled at 7:00 pm on July 29 at the Los Ojos Catholic Church with a mass and burial on the 30th of July 2022 at 11:00 am also in Los Ojos with burial to follow  in Plaza Blanca.

Serving as pallbearers are Pedro Herrera, Ramon Trujillo, Tanya Trujillo, Elianha Mercure.

Honorary are Keyanha, Aryanha, Nicolas, and Nevah.

The family of Baltazar has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home and Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
