Audrey Hope Wheeler

Audrey Hope Holsinger Wheeler was born in Winner, South Dakota on March 1, 1929, to Harry and Dorothy Holsinger.  She graduated from the Gordon NE School in 1947.  She married Ray Wheeler in 1947.  They had four children, Diana, Denise, Judy and Don.  She attended Orange Coast College, Newport Beach College, and graduated from Orange County Business College.  

She passed November 13^th, 2022.  She loved the Lord all her life.  May she rest in peace.

She worked for the Newport-Mesa Food Service as a Satellite Kitchen Manager for 20 years.  Later she worked for a convalescent Hospital as a relief cook for 5 years.  In 1989 she moved to Espanola where she cared for 2 children for 13 years. She wrote children’s stories to entertain them.  Due to poor health, she retired at the age of 75.

Her parents preceded her in death.  Her husband Ray Wheeler and son Don Wheeler and daughter Judy Wheeler preceded her in death. 

She is survived by daughter Denise Wheeler, daughter-in-law Joan Robins and a grandson Jesse.  Another daughter-in-law also preceded her in death.
