Ashley Alire

Ashley Elizabeth Alire (35), a resident of El Rito passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 from injuries sustained in a car accident. Ashley was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend. She was an amazing athlete, a hard worker and a jack of all trades. She didn’t mind getting her hands dirty, whether it was changing the oil on her mom’s car or going for wood with her dad. She was always willing to lend a helping hand wherever she could and it showed in everything that she did. Ashley was a volunteer firefighter and enjoyed helping others. Ashley will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by the father of her youngest daughter and love of her life, Eric Archuleta, her cousins Sasha Alire and Alejandro Lopez, her uncle Gerald Lopez, her grandfather Preciliano Lopez, and Padrino Robert Alire.

She is survived by her beloved children, Calista Sisneros and Charlene Archuleta, her parents Donald and Cynthia Alire, siblings Braen (Andy) Terrazas, Lando (Carime) Alire , and Kayla Alire, nephews Santiago (Esperanza) Terrazas, Brandon Terrazas, Isaiah Alire-Sisneros, nieces Janiae Terrazas, Katie, Khloe and Kristy Alire, great-nephew Junior Terrazas and great-nieces Elyanah and Analeigha Terrazas, grandparents Maria Lopez, Tom and Nina Wiley, godmother Nora Bustos (Rick), aunts Loyda (Leroy) Lopez, Inez (Joe) Ortega, Cecilia (Greg) Lopez, Jani (Jack) Summers, uncles Henry Lopez, Mark Wiley and family, Todd Wiley, Adam Wiley and family, cousins Yoshabelle (James) Aldaz, Ojito (Emily) Prevatt and family, Kim and Jerome Ortega, Cassie and Chris Suire, Antonique Lopez, Audra (Daniel) Herrera, Heather Wiley and family. She was also survived by Ignacio Sisneros (father of her oldest daughter), Dan and Gloria Archuleta, Rudy Sisneros and family and aunt Angie, along with many other family members and friends.

Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. at the San Juan Nepomuceno Catholic Church in El Rito. Honorary pallbearers, Mark Wisecarver, Gabriel Lopez, Ricky Bustos, Jose Alire, Juan Aldaz, Jared Mata, Felipe Sisneros and Lorenzo Abeyta.
