Arnold "Gabby" Gabaldon

Arnold “Gabby” Gabaldon, 72, a resident of Jacona, NM, passed on into his eternal life on Tuesday, March 5, 2024. 

Arnold is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Esmenia Cordova, and Jose Able and Consuelo Gabaldon, brothers Glen Cordova, Maurice Gabaldon, Ernie Gabaldon, sister Marlene George and infant sister Chavela.

He is survived by his son Antonio and Karry, sister Judy, Karen (Rick), Arlene (Kimo), Antonette (Jerry), and Roberta (Ernest), brother Larry (Maryann), Glenn, sister-in-law Mona, brother-in-law Eddie George, sister-in-law Vici, Danny Castaneda, the Martinez and Castaneda family members, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

His son Antonio was his world. The times he spent with Antonio and Karry were the best memories he made. There are no words for a father/son bond. Memories are cherished.

Arnold was very involved in Hermanos, serving where needed. His faith was very strong. He was a proud member of the Local 412 Pipefitters Union. He worked his entire career in Los Alamos, NM. He had many talents, some of which were woodcarving, painting, photography of sunrises and sunsets. He was a hardcore fan of the Denver Broncos. He spent each night watching Jeopardy, answering as many questions as he could and bragging about it! He loved spending time with his family and friends. We will all miss his smile and big hugs and jokes. We will miss his phone calls, “Just checking in”. 

Rosary will take place on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 9:00 am at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Pojoaque, NM. Mass will be at 10:00 am. Reception will be following services in the Parish Hall.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Glen Gabaldon, Ernie Gabaldon Jr., Francisco Gabaldon, Benji Ortiz, Gabriel Barela, and Wayne Martinez.
