Armando - Age 67 - Hernandez War

ARMANDO WAR, 67, a resident of Hernandez passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, May 28, 2013. Armando was born on July 14, 1945 to Magarito and Sirila War of Hernandez. Armando will be remembered for his love of the outdoors and recreational spirit. Armando had many family and friends that loved and cared for him. He will be missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Magarito and Sirila War; brother, Alex War; former wife and long-time friend, Patsy War; brothers-in-law, Don Espinoza, Gusman Maestas, and Mike Vigil and nephew, Matthew Vigil. Mr. War is survived by his sisters, Nora Maestas of Hernandez, Andrellita Espinoza of El Llano and Virginia Vigil of El Guache; brother, Audoro War and companion Josie of Española, Solomon War and Maria Elena of Hernandez, Margarito War and Ida of Medanales, Tony War and Florence of Ogden, Utah, and Archie War and Isabel of Española, and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Special mention of niece, Margaret Trujillo and family, Virginia Vigil and family and Audoro War and family. Special thanks to Enchanted Care Solutions and caregivers and to Ambercare. Public visitation will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. with a wake to follow. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 31, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Española. Burial to follow at the San Jose Catholic Cemetery in Hernandez with the following serving as pallbearers, Leroy Martinez, Leroy Trujillo, Sammy Maestas, Ross Vargas, Harold Vigil and Vernon Vigil. Honorary pallbearers named are, Michael Vigil, Joe Maestas, Jimmy War, Dennis Trujillo, Fabian Padilla and Arnold Padilla. The family of Armando War has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
