Anna Maria Arellano

d. September 9, 2022

We mourn the sudden passing of Anna Maria Arellano, age 65, on September 9th, 2022.

Though she will be greatly missed, Anna has received her wings and entered her eternal life in Heaven.  Anna has been reunited with her parents Eloy and Edith DeAguero, her son Ezekiel DeAguero, siblings Patricia De Aguero and Armando DeAguero and many more family, friends, and pets.

Anna was born on September 13, 1956 in Springer, NM where she grew up and spent her younger years. She graduated from Springer High and attended college at UNM.  She married the love of her life and later moved to Espanola, NM with her husband and children. She worked for the State of NM for many years until retirement in which during that time she met many wonderful people who became lifelong friends.  She was also an active member of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish.

Anna spread love and kindness everywhere she went, but most importantly, she deeply loved her husband, her daughter, sons, granddaughter, daughter in law, and nuggets.  She loved her cats, spiders, bananas, and the Minions.  She also had a passionate love for Jesus Christ. Her favorite pastimes were attending the Cruz family reunions where she would reunite with family from near and far.  She loved reminiscing, sharing stories and memories of growing up and her family. She also loved trying new foods, going to movies, plays and concerts.  Anna was such a loving and giving soul and she will be greatly missed by family, friends and those lucky enough to cross her path.

Anna is survived by her husband Michael Arellano; daughter Celeste Arellano; son and daughter in law Javier & Donna Arellano; granddaughter Alanna DeAguero; brothers Arturo (Celina) DeAguero, Andres (Linda) DeAguero; nephews Armando, Simon, and Jason DeAguero, Salomon and Steven Romero; nieces Enedina Estrada (Anthony), Angelica and Analisa DeAguero, Irene Moya, and Rebecca Lopez; great nieces Nieves Estrada Cleveland (Chris), Reyna Estrada, and Siana Backstrom-DeAguero and many more relatives.

Paul bearers will be Javier Arellano, Armando DeAguero, Simon DeAguero, Angelica DeAguero, Jason DeAguero, Reyna Estrada, Analisa DeAguero, and Nieves Estrada Cleveland.

Honorary Paul bearers will be Linda DeAguero, Janice Sanchez, Pearl Gutierrez, Irene Madrid, Sandee Madrid.
