Angie G. Romero

Our beloved mother, Angie G. Romero of Youngsville, NM, passed away on February 18, 2023 in Santa Fe, NM at the age of 79 years old.

Angie was born on November 7, 1943 to Levi Cohn and Eufelia Martinez in Youngsville, NM. After Angie graduated from Santa Fe High School, she went on to study finance.

In 1962, Angie married Tommy O. Romero in Santa Fe, NM. Angie and Tommy went on to have four children; Audrey, Tim, Adrienne, and Terrance.

During her lifetime, Angie enjoyed and excelled at painting and writing poetry.

Angie was preceded in death by her former husband Tommy, her mother, and father as well as her Aunt Josephine Garcia (Whom she lived with when she met Tommy), as well as numerous brothers and sisters from Espanola and Taos.

She is survived by her four children and her brother Michael Martinez. As well as five grandchildren; Alexis, Ryjal, Antonique, Artemisio and Alec. This also includes many nephews and nieces.

A Public Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2023,  from 5:30 pm to 6 pm, followed by a Rosary beginning at 6:00 pm in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home in Espanola, NM.   A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at 12:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Espanola, NM.  Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
