Angelina R. Archuleta
October 23, 1933 - January 15, 2026
A resident of Pojoaque Valley, born on October 23, 1933. Was greeted by her angel and our Lord on Thursday, January 15th, 2026.
Angelina was preceded in death by her husband Eduardo Ignacio Jr.; son Anthony Edwin and infant daughter Loretta Archuleta; and baby great grand-daughter Aria Vigil; brother Pablo; sister-in-law Antonia "Toni" Romero; sister Isabelle & Adelmo Archuleta, Matilda Romero and brothers. Parents Jose Maria and Eloisa Trujillo Romero. In-laws Eduardo Sr. and Virginia Archuleta. Deceased brother-in laws; Luis, Adelmo, Alonzo Archuleta; sister in-laws Carmen(Antonio) Griego, Anna Marie Martinez and Mary Archuleta.
She is survived by her children; Lourdes (Manuel)Jr, Martinez, Ramos R. Archuleta, Lois (Jeff) Vigil; in-laws brothers; Jose Ramon Archuleta, Deacon John (Elvira) Archuleta, Jose Daniel (Angela) Archuleta, Lucille (Gilbert) Gonzales, in-laws; Regina Archuleta and Manuel Martinez.
Also, survived by her grandchildren; Timothy Martinez (Pamela), Brandon A. Archuleta, Kimberly Vigil (Ian MacIntosh), Isidoro Vigil (Melissa); great-grand children; Emily and Bryan Martinez, Amethyst and KC Boo Vigil, and Kyrian Everly Vigil.
Angelina lived all her life in Pojoaque Valley graduating from Pojoaque High School. Shortly after that she married her sweetheart Eduardo after he returned from the Korean War. They were married in January 1953.
Angelina was a stay home wife and mother. They were blessed with four children, later she unfortunately carried a baby daughter (Loretta) passed 24 hours after birth. They lived 52 years in Pojoaque enjoying their home. She took pride in keeping her home immaculate and enjoying their beautiful property.
In her life enjoyed preparing fruits and vegetables for canning, making jams jellies. She would make homemade bread every other week; would always have some king of delicious baked items; cookies, sweet rolls, cakes other delicious goodies. Often would have visitors and would send them home with one of her baked items.
Thank our Lord she never had pain during these last four months of her life.
Angelina was very devoted to her Catholic faith would find her reading her prayer books, offering her many rosaries for family or friends. She would watch EWTN the Catholic Network for daily mass and praying the rosary. Family was very important to her enjoyed visits from great and grandchildren. On Saturday’s evenings looked forward to watching television Molly B Polkas and Daniel O'Donnell for years and working on word search books. She was a member of Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe Valley parish and received monthly visit of the Holy Family capita. Angelina was quiet but known for her strong morals, teaching her children the Catholic faith, her deep love for "Eduardo" they completed 70 years of marriage until his passing.
Special thank you to Marcella Rodriguez and Lori Martinez were like daughters to her and had a special place in her heart for them. Her family care givers for the past seven years with much dedication her children Lourdes, Ramos, Lois and Maggie Herrera started in June 2025. Night help granddaughter Kimberly Vigil and Sarah Sanchez. Angelina was very close to all her care givers. Hospices Del Corazon Care staff; Lynn Jacquez, Maeghan and Zusanne. Medical doctors; Julian Vega, Camelia Maestas, Eric Anderson and Robert Ali. Thanks to our LORD, the many thoughts and prayers, phone calls from friends and visits. This is what helped Angelina to have no pain during the course of her cancer.
Mass will be held at la Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe in Pojoaque, NM, on Thursday, January 29, 2026, with Rosary to be recited 9:30 am, with Mass to follow at 10:30 am
Serving as Pallbearer’s are Timothy and Bryan Martinez, Isidoro Vigil, Ean McIntosh, Joseph Romero, Bernardo Griego. Honorary Pallbearers are Stephen Romero and all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
