With deep sorrow, we announce the unexpected passing of Andy and Diane Bustos on September 16, 2026. Andy was born on December 3, 1947, to Andres “Tito” and Lourdes Bustos, Diane was born on May 17,1952 to Joe and Andreita Romero.

Their journey began as teenage sweethearts, evolving into a lifelong partnership marked by commitment, hard work, family, and helping others. Rarely apart, they navigated life’s stages together, always maintaining a steadfast bond.

Diane dedicated her career to serving the community, working at Pueblo Bank and retiring from Del Norte Credit Union. Andy worked at the City of Espanola Water Department for many years, helping the Espanola Valley Community. Their proudest achievement was their family; they served as supporters and as an example for future generations. They were cherished as siblings, aunts, uncles, and friends, leaving a lasting impact on their family and community.

Preceded in death by their parents; Andres “Tito” and Lourdes Bustos, Joe and Andreita Romero, beloved grandson Jalen Bustos, brothers Joseph “Tito” Bustos, Kenny Romero, and brother-in-law Domingo Ramirez.

They are survived by their children; Dino, Lori (Elmer), grandchildren Jordan, Leo (Anahi) Makayla, along with many great-grandchildren, family members, and friends. Their siblings include Ernest (Elizabeth)Garcia, Ernest (Diane “Dee Dee”) Metzgar, Robert (Pamela)Bustos, Joanne Ramirez, Delbert (Dolores)Trujillo, Delaino Romero, Lousie (Bobby)Lovato, and sisters-in-law Kathy Bustos and Bernice Romero.

They will be remembered for their commitment, devotion to family, and their generosity.

Services will be held on Tuesday, September 29,2026, at DeVargas Funeral Home in Espanola, NM. Public viewing at 9:00 am, a Memorial service will follow at 10:00 am. Burial will take place at Loma Vista Cemetery in Alcalde, NM.

Pallbearers Dino, Delaino, Elmer, Ernest Jr., Leo, Adam, Melakye, Devon, Matthew, Robby, Ayden, and Cory.
