Andrew Salazar

Andrew Salazar, (61) of Española, New Mexico passed away on May 4, 2023, from a brief illness.

Drew was born on March 8,1962, to Max and Aurora Salazar.

Andrew worked most of his life in the food industry at restaurants like Angelina’s and Big Dawgs. His most recent job was at Food King where he loved working, not only because of the people he worked with but because it also allowed him to run into friends and family daily.

Andrew LOVED college basketball and rooting for his beloved North Carolina Tarheels. Anyone who knew Drew, knew they could find him rooting for his favorite MLB team the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Andrew is preceded in death by his parents Max and Aurora. His Brother’s Tudy, Tommy and Tony and his Sister’s Viola and Ruby.

He is survived by his brother Julian and sister-in-law Dawnette, his Brother Jimmy, his sister Darlene and rother-in-law Rick Johnson, his sister Yvonne and brother-in-law Danny Telles and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends.

Andrew’s Celebration of Life will be celebrated on Friday, May 19, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at DeVargas Funeral Home in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel in Espanola, NM.
