Andrew H. Romero

With a heavy heart we are sad to announce the passing of Andrew H. Romero, 58, of La Mesilla, NM. He passed away on April 16, 2023 peacefully in his sleep.

Andrew was born on 12/08/1964 to Antonio Romero and Prescilla Romero in Española, NM. Andrew graduated from Menaul High School in 1982. Following high school Andrew went on to obtain a first degree black belt in Tang Soo Do; obtained a security clearance to become a Special Police Officer for both the Los Alamos National Laboratory and Nevada Test Site.

Andrew married Joyce D. Romero, on March 26,1988. They had two sons, Andres A. A. Romero and Isaiah J. Romero.

Andrew loved to spend his time outdoors, which included skiing, camping, hunting, and fishing. Many who knew Andrew remember him for his "Elvis style" singing talent and annual appearance as Santa Claus at Bode’s General Store in Abiquiu.
Andrew was predeceased by his father Antonio Romero, his mother Prescilla Romero, and his brother Leroy Romero. He is survived by his sons Andres Romero and Isaiah Romero, his siblings Bobby Romero, Emerson Romero, Arthur Romero, Rudy Romero, Eva Pacheco, and Cindy Marie Montgomery.

There will be a private family service at a later date.
