Anastacio Sisneros

ANASTACIO F. SISNEROS JR., 77, a resident of Santa Cruz, passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2015 surrounded by family He was preceded in death by his wife Eufelia Sisneros who was his world; son, Matthew Sisneros; grandson, Matthew D. Sisneros; parents, Anastacio and Roberta Sisneros; sister, Genevieve Pignoni; brother-in-law, Pancracio Rael. He is survived by his son, Michael Sisneros and wife Veronica, daughter, Jennifer Sisneros; sisters, Viola Sisneros-Rael, Rosina Baca and husband Gabriel, brother, Cecilio Sisneros and wife Margaret; grandson, Nathan Sisneros and companion Gavina Velarde, granddaughters, Amberly Sisneros, Nicole Sisneros and companion Brandon Chavez and Mariah Sisneros, great-grandsons, Devin and Jayden Sisneros; brother-in-law, Augustine Pignoni, plus many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Anastacio was a Security Officer for Los Alamos National Laboratories for 43 years, he also served in the Army. He was a reserved, quiet, gentle, kind and loving father and grandfather, always placing family before himself. He was a devoted Catholic. Public visitation will begin on Monday, October 19, 2015 at 4:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Canada, with a burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Nathan Sisneros, Jacob Madrid, Jeremy Roybal, Josh Roybal, Anthony Valdez and Brandon Chavez, honorary pallbearers are Devin and Jayden Sisneros.
