Amos A. Martinez
October 5, 1966 ~ March 16, 2025
With a heavy hearts we announce the passing of Amos, a resident of Albuquerque, NM. He was born in Espanola, NM, to his parents Salvador and Viola G. Martinez.
Amos could light up any room with his booming laughter and infectious sense of humor. His presence was a remind that laughter truly is the best medicine. But beyond his humor, Amos was always there for his family - ready to lend a hand, share a laugh or other support whenever it was needed. He leaves behind countless memories that will forever bring a smile to those who knew him. His spirit and joy will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents Salvador and Viola Martinez; brothers Pancho Christopher Martinez, Toby Martinez, Ted Serrano and Bobby Serrano; and very special nephew Salvador Padilla.
He is survived by his wife Margarita, stepdaughter Angela, stepson Alfred, grandsons Johnjohn, Estevan and a granddaughter Celine (Turquoise); great grandchildren Amelia & Emiliano Ambrose; brothers Tony Martinez (Jeannette), Larry Martinez, Felix Martinez (Anna) and Rafael Martinez (Teresa); sisters Genice Padilla, Margie Pineda, Cathy Martinez and Kristy Martinez; his Godson Carlos Rey Segovia and God-daughter Miranda Padilla and many nephews and nieces.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Santa Cruz, NM, with a Rosary to be recited at 10:30 am, followed by the Mass at 11:30 am. Burial to follow at the Holy Cross Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Johnjohn, Estevan, Jr Padilla, TJ Martinez, Nathaniel Martinez, Carlos Rey Segovia, Leroy Atencio and Xavier Atencio.
Honorary Pallbearers will be his nephews and nieces.
