Alma Valdez

“But as God call us one by one the chain will link again”

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our beloved Alma A. Valdez, 54, a resident of Alcalde. On Friday, December 2, 2022, Alma was called home and into the arms of our heavenly father.

Alma truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures: spending time with family, friends, and her fur babies, taking drives and spending time in the mountains, and listing to music. Alma was an excellent cook and loved baking cakes. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

Alma is preceded in death by her brothers Anthony and James Valdez, nephew Damian Valdez, grandparents Damian and Francis Pacheco, and Cornelio and Cruzita Valdez. She is survived by her parents Clyde and Lucille Valdez, sister Julie Valdez (Alonso Aragon), lifelong companion Paul Garcia, special aunts Ernestine Martinez and Priscilla Lovato, special uncle Victor Martinez, nieces Devine and Aubrianna Valdez, fur babies Felix, Miss Kitty, and Ginger, and many other relatives and friends.   

A Rosary will be held on December 22, 2022  at 12:15 pm at the San Juan Catholic Church. Mass will be at 1:00 pm. Burial to follow at La Villita Cemetery.

The family will not be holding a meal in Alma’s honor. The family of Alma Valdez would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, messages, monetary, and food donations.
