Alfredo Miranda Jr.

Alfredo “Arturo” Miranda Jr, age 85 died in his home in Chama, NM on December 23, 2020. He served in the US Army in 1952. He worked as a bus operator in Los Angeles, CA for 38 years before retiring. He is survived by his wife Maria of Chama, NM and his daughters Lorraine, Theresa and Elizabeth Miranda of California. He is also survived by several siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many friends. He was preceded in death by his son Gilbert Miranda and brothers Florian, George and Lionel “Joe” Miranda. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. A rosary will be held on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a burial to follow at 12:45 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers are Matthew Figueroa, Eric Figueroa, Alfred Flores Jr., Mark Flores, Candelario Talamante, Juanito Talamante, Santiago Talamante, Joaquin Talamante, Fidel Vigil, and Lester Vigil, honorary pallbearers named are Alfred Flores, Floria Flores, Sid Figueroa, Lilia Figueroa, Johnny Talamante, Kristelle Talamante, Viola Trujillo, Baltazar Mecure, Wesley Vigil, Stephanie Vigil, Theresa Miranda-Flores, Elizabeth Miranda-Flores and Justin Lew.
