Albert M. Ortiz, Sr., 64, a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 27, 2011. Albert was a very loving husband, father, grandfather & uncle with a brilliant mind. His passion was music, playing guitar & serenading his children, grandchildren & friends. Albert had a happy heart. It was not uncommon for him to get up singing in the morning. We could spend hours conversing with him. He was a great conversationalist and also the most giving & generous individual we knew. He will be dearly missed by those who knew & loved him. Albert was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Alberta Ortiz; sister, Griselda Trujillo; brothers: Reyes, Frank and Rosenaldo Ortiz; parents-in-law, Flaminio and Ramoncita Chacon; brother-in-law & best friend, Armando Alvarado; nephew, Orly Ortiz. Albert is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Ortiz; daughter, Michele Ortiz; son, Albert Ortiz Jr. and wife Joyce; grandsons: Angel and Christopher Ortiz; granddaughters: Chloe and Cylee Ortiz all of Albuquerque; brothers: Sofio Ortiz and wife Theresa of El Rito, Orlando Ortiz and wife Cecilia of El Rito; sister, Mary Kulhane and husband John of Fountain Valley, CA; brother-in-law, Eloy Trujillo of Garden Grove, CA; brother-in-law, best friend & confidante: Teofilo Chacon and wife Bella of Pomona, CA; sisters-in-law: Velma Martinez and husband Saturnino of La Madera, Inez Vargas and husband Reggie of Pomona, CA; sister-in-law, best friend & confidante: Ida Alvarado of Albuquerque; sister-in-law, Hilda Peña and husband Bert of Servilleta Plaza; and numerous other beloved, nieces, nephews, relatives & friends. Public visitation will be held on Monday, August 1, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel at De Vargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with burial to take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. The family of Albert M.
