Albert Quintana, age 72, passed away on January 26, 2026, at his home in El Sitio of La Puebla, New Mexico. He was born on September 4, 1953, in Española, New Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his parents Antonio & Elizaida Quintana, his brother Isidoro Quintana and his sisters Cornelia DeAguero (Elifar), Estolia Martinez (Joe), and Lucy Quintana.
Albert is survived by his beloved sons: Albert Quintana, Jody Quintana, Robbie Quintana, and Eli Quintana (Delana Quintana). He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Mathew Quintana, Brandon Medina, Kiara, Morgan Quintana, Meeko Washington, Joslin, Chloe, Jeremy, Teal Quintana, Abrielle Gallegos, Carly, Cameron, Antonio Quintana, Charlie, Clair, and Quincy Quintana. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.
Albert also survived by his sisters Angie Romero (Samuel), Rosaile Romero (Louie), Esperanza Bachman and Lorraine Archuleta (Jerry) . Also his brother Julian Quintana (Hazel)
In the final months of his life, Albert’s sons and grandson never left his side. Together, they made sure Albert was always well cared for, comfortable, and surrounded by love.
Albert faithfully attended Holy Family Parish Church every Sunday, until his health prevented him from attending, at that time Serafina Lombardi visited him at home on Sunday’s and read scripture and gave him communion.
He will be remembered for his strong work ethic and his willingness to help anyone in need—neighbors, family, or friends. Albert was always available, always ready to lend a hand. He was a jokester with a big heart, a silly dancer, and someone who enjoyed watching westerns and the Andy Griffin show, as well as listening to the radio. He enjoyed taking his grandchildren outside to cut weeds whenever they came to visit.
Albert will be deeply missed by many, he is now in the hands of the Lord, reunited with his loved ones who welcomed him with open arms.
Services will be held on Friday. March 6, 2026, at Holy Family Church in Chimayó.
The Rosary will begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by Mass at 10:00 a.m.
Christian burial will take place at La Puebla Cemetery.
A reception will follow at the Chimayó Parish Hall, where family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and fellowship.
