Ageda Rivera Goodnight, 87, was called home peacefully on March 16, 2026, (12 days after her son Albert Rivera Archuleta passing, with her loving family by her side. Ageda was born on January 3, 1939, in Ojo Caliente, NM, to Alberto and Filomena Rivera. Ageda was a Beloved mother, sister, grandmother, stepmother, step-grandmother, sister-in-law, niece, aunt and cousin.
Ageda was known as “Aggie,” she was raised in Ojo Caliente. Through her growing years was helped raised by Maximino and Orlesia Archuleta. Aggie then married Harold Goodnight and moved to Sante Fe, NM. Years, later they moved to Denver Colorado, while there she worked at the Porter Memorial hospital as hospital housekeeper. Later, in years Aggie family moved back to Ojo Caliente, to help take care of her parents. While, in Ojo Caliente Aggie struggled through health issues and had to be taken back to Denver, Colorado, to be taken care by her daughter, Irene, her husband John and family.
Aggie was preceeded in death by her parents Alberto and Filomena Rivera; her husband Harold Goodnight I; her sons Harold Goodnight II and Albert Rivera/Archuleta; daughter-in-law Tracy Archuleta; grandsons Albert Archuleta II and Jacob Goodnight; brothers Reymundo, Fidel and Felipe Rivera, Maximino and Orlesia Archuleta; stepdaughter Geri and stepbrother Delfin Archuleta; as well as other deceased family members.
Aggie is survived by her loving daughter Irene Goodnight/Herrera and her husband John; granddaughters Barbara Jean Goodnight, Athena Herrera and Jessica Archuleta; stepdaughter Charlene Wilson; brothers Gilbert Rivera and Macario Rivera (Theresa); along with nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law and cousins.
A Rosary will take place on Friday, March 27, 2026, at 8:30 am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ojo Caliente, NM, with a Mass will follow at 9:00 am. Burial will be at the Ojo Caliente Cemetery.
