Adolfo “Mr. Wolf” J. Chavez – 27, a resident of Española passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 21, 2011. Aldolfo enjoyed the great outdoors being in the wild exploring nature. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting at a young age with dad and brothers. He enjoyed listening to Country and Heavy Metal music. Adolfo enjoyed spending time with his cousins. His pride and joy was his son & daughter. He was an Angel from Heaven to all who knew him. His favorite saying “The Great Outdoors.” He was preceded in death by his grandmothers: Amy Chavez, Margarita Baca and Adelina Barela; great-grandparents, Benino and Rachael Chavez; aunt, Cheryl Chavez; cousin, Thomas Martinez. Adolfo is survived by his parents, Robert and Connie Chavez; brothers: Robert Jr. and wife Rose Ann Chavez, Chris Chavez and wife Christina Chavez, Joe and wife Victoria Chavez; son, Jonathan Chavez; mother of his son, Stacey Valdez; daughter, Charity Chavez; mother of his daughter, Lerrina DeHerrera; grandparents, Leo and Berlina Padilla; great-grandfather, Serafin Barela; aunts: April and Leona Padilla, Bonnie and Vangie Chavez; uncles: Carl, Leo Jr., Angelo, Max and Steve; great-aunts, Tillie and Charlotte; nieces/nephews: Isabella and Lil Joe Chavez, Angelica, Josh and Destiny; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & many friends; best friend, Anthony Valdez “Chubba.” Public visitation will be held on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 5:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a wake to follow at 6:00 p.m. Rosary will be recited on Monday, September 26, 2011 at 7:15 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Peace at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with burial to follow at Vallecitos Methodist Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers: Rachael Romero, Joe, Chris and Robert Chavez, Angelo and Carl Padilla, Chris Manzanares, Luis Mendez and Anthony Valdez; honorary pallbearers: Leo Jr. Padilla, Max and Angel Padilla, Carolyn Muniz, Kayla, Crystal and Desiree Chavez, Christina, Victoria, Nichole and Tiffany.
