Timothy Garbett

d. November 3, 2020

TIMOTHY W. GARBETT , went to be with his Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, on November 3, 2020 after a long struggle with Multiple Sclerosis.  Tim was born April 28, 1965 in Fremont, California to George and Alice Garbett.  Tim is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy; daughter, Ksenia of Los Alamos; mother, Alice Garbett of Denver; brothers, Stephen of Colorado, and Dan of Philadelphia, and sister, Shari of Miami.

Tim served 4 years in the US Navy, serving in the western Pacific.  Following discharge from the Navy, he attended Metro State University in Denver where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering.  He was employed at Los Alamos National Laboratory for 21 years where he worked on satellite sensor technology and satellite data analysis.

Tim loved the Lord Jesus.  He was a member of Bryce Avenue Presbyterian Church and served as a deacon for many years.  Even with the limitations and burdens of the MS, he had a ready smile on his face and a sunny disposition.  He was truly an inspiration to many.

A brief graveside service will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Guaje Pines Cemetery in Los Alamos. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bryce Avenue Presbyterian Church, 333 Bryce Avenue, White Rock, NM 87547 for Ligonier Ministries.  Ligonier’s program called “Renewing Your Mind” was a great blessing to Tim. The family of Timothy W. Garbett has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
