Leonard Griego

LEONARD ANTHONY GRIEGO, 31, a resident of Española, originally from La Madera, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2017. Leonard was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Rosa Griego; grandmother, Ramona Maestas; uncles, Marcos Maestas, Felix Griego, aunt Rose Mary Gonzales and cousin Bernadette Gonzales. Leonard was a 2004 Graduate of Mesa Vista High School. He was also a graduate of NNMC where he received his Associates in Massage Therapy and was currently working on getting his certificate in Nurse Assisting. Leonard was employed through the years as a security officer. Leonard liked to travel, he liked to cook and listen to music. He was a wonderful father to his daughter Jaydalynn, he was a very loving and kind person who brought joy to many. Leonard is survived by his daughter Jaydalynn Griego; father, Leonard Griego Sr., Mother, Laura Griego; brother, Daniel Griego, sister Lorena Griego; grandmother, Olympia Gonzales; nina Brenda Montoya; uncles, Jesse Maestas, Rick Maestas, Marvin Gonzales and wife Bernadette and Lino Tapia; aunt Debbie Pacheco and many other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at El Buen Pastor Church in Española with burial to follow at La Madera Cemetery. The family of Leonard Anthony Griego has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
