LEANNA MARIE TAFOYA-HERRERA, 51, a resident of La Mesa de Poleo, originally from Taos, passed away on Sunday, July 09, 2017. Leanna was preceded in death by her father Arthur Tafoya, brother, Art L. Tafoya.
Leanna had the most beautiful giving heart, doing anything she could do to help someone in need. She loved her family especially her grandchildren including her newest grandchild Kai born one day prior to her passing. Her Christianity was always powerful and she thanked the Lord for every blessing she received until the end. Leanna is survived by her husband, Levi Herrera; daughter Jaclyn Medina (Brian); grandchildren Ryan, Zachary and Kai; Mother Alma Camarena; sister Lora Tafoya; brother Michael Tafoya; niece Briana Gonzales; stepchildren Annamarie Ortiz (Mairicio), Christopher Herrera, Levi Curtis Herrera (Leslie); mother-in-law, Tommie Herrera; step grandchildren Marrissa, Audrina, Sierra ,Ashton, Ethian, Jazlyn, Zoey and many more family and loved ones.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a burial to follow at Los Cordova’s Cemetery in Ranchos De Taos, NM.
