Abenilde Lopez

OUR BELOVED MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER, SISTER ABENILDE (NILDE) LOPEZ, 79, a lifelong resident of Chama, passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Flavio and Simona Trujillo; brothers, Gregorio, Alberto and Jose Flavio Trujillo, sister, Maria Trujillo. Nilde loved to sew, cook and read. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. Abenilde is survived by her sister, Vicente Neher and her children, Michael Lopez (Lily Lopez), Benito Lopez, Vicente Lopez and Margaret Elwell (Tom Elwell); grandchildren, Thomas Elwell (Ashley Elwell), Dominic Lopez, Rachel Figg (Brandon Figg), Michael Albert Lopez, Dallas Lopez, Eric Belser, Stephen Elwell and Wyatt Lopez, great-grandchildren, Alexia Gutierrez, Nevaeh Lopez, Sophia Elwell, Emma Elwell; special friend Danielle Martinez and other friends and relatives. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Chama. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. also at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. A burial will be held on Tuesday June, 7, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers are Michael Albert Lopez, Thomas Elwell, Eric Belser, Brandon Figg, Stephen Elwell and Wyatt Lopez, honorary pallbearers will be Rachel Figg, Dallas Lopez, Dominic Lopez, Ashley Elwell, Nevaeh Lopez, Emma and Sophia Elwell and Alexia Gutierrez.
