VICTORIA “VICKY” MOYA, 80, a resident of Española, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, March 12, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Efren and Anita Salazar; husband, Benito Moya; son, Benny Moya; grandson, Kyle Benito Moya; sisters, Myra Salazar, Annie Sandoval, and Lucille Ortiz; brothers, Arthur, Robert, Joe, Efren “Curly”, Eloy, Gilbert and James Salazar.

Vicky had many talents; she was employed at the Los Alamos National Laboratory, Española Public School District and as a Cosmetologist to name a few. She loved spending time with her family and friends as well as socializing at the casino. She will be fondly remembered for her generosity, loving heart, no non-sense personality and vivacious spirit.

Mrs. Moya is survived by her son, Clyde “Gary” Moya and wife Kathleen of Albuquerque; daughter, Sharon Martinez and husband Joseph of Española; grandchildren, Crystal Moya of Gilbert, Arizona, Clyde Gary Moya II of Taos, Maria V. Martinez, Heather Martinez and husband Phillip Valdez, Adrian Benito Moya; great-grandchildren, Deja, Shanti and Josiah Valdez all of Española; sisters, Edwina Romero of Albuquerque and Elsie Sanchez of California and numerous relatives and friends whom she held close to her heart.

Public visitation will begin on Friday, March 22, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Santa Cruz, with a burial to follow at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
