Jeremy Lee Medlin, loving son, brother, father, uncle and friend, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 12, 2019 in Chama at the age of 43. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Goldie Medlin; paternal grandparents, Maria Alcaria Moya and Jose Onofre Moya; brother, Michael Joseph Moya; aunts, Laurie Phillips and Rebecca Grossnick, and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, and relatives. Jeremy had a passion for cooking. He went to culinary arts school, got a degree in Business Management at the Grand Canyon University and also went to the Job Corps for carpentry. He was very educated and at one time wrote a book. He enjoyed writing, especially poems. He was an avid Broncos fan. On his spare time, he loved listening to music, fishing, and loved the outdoors. Above all, Jeremy was a wonderful father. He had so much love for his children. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Jeremy is survived by his parents, Michael and Pamela Moya; brothers and sisters, Beverly Seivold, Lucas Moya, Henry Medlin, Lizz Romero, Paul Medlin, and Melinda Montoya; children, Jeremy Medlin Jr., Nickolas Medlin, Caitlyn Medlin and many aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Chama Valley Worship Center in Chama. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. also at Chama Valley Worship Center. The family of Jeremy Lee Medlin has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
