Faustin “Frost” Martinez, 65 from El Duende and formerly of Hernandez passed away from a short illness on September 2, 2018. He was a roofer and he love fishing, hunting, and off-road riding and was an avid Broncos fan. He is preceded in death by his mother Sabinita Duran, step father Max Duran, father Filimon Martinez, infant sister Rosemary Martinez, niece Maxine Valdez, brothers Lawrence and Leroy Martinez, and brother-in-law Joseph Lovato. Faustin is survived by his wife of 26 years Marlene Martinez, sisters Jenny Ruiz of Espanola, Abelina Martinez of El Llano; Janette Martinez of Pojoaque; Marie Baray (Rafael) of Rio Rancho, Priscilla Martinez (Alonso) of Santa Fe; Sophia and Ramona Chavez of Albuquerque; brothers Richard Martinez (Savina) of Espanola; Ivan Martinez of Hernandez; daughters Amadita Torres (Antonio) of Colorado; Edna Martinez (Larry) of Espanola; Esther Vaughn (Julian) of Espanola, Faustina Martinez (Chuck) of Velarde; Rosa Martinez of Chimayo; sons, Tino Martinez (Jennifer) of Alcalde; Gene Martinez of Pojoaque; three god-daughters, Maria Martinez of El Llano; Maxine and Lexi Martinez of Espanola, four grandchildren he was raising, Nathaniel Lovato, Kassidy Lovato, Julian Vaughn Jr, and Santiago Vaughn, James Martinez, Eula Mae Gallegos, Aracelly Torres, Zelma Torres, Antonio Torres Jr, Izadora Torres, Brian Romero Jr. Vanessa Romero, Elena and Deztiny Maes, Ashley, Gina, Patrick and Gabriella Martinez, LaShay Herrera and 4 great grandchildren and one on the way, brother-in-laws Benjie Lovato of Espanola; Anthony Lovato (Nellie) of Cuarteles, sister in law Darlene Lovato of Hernandez; a favorite aunt Solema Romero (Felipe) of Chimayo, and other numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
