Eva Marie Campos

EVA MARIE CAMPOS, 53, a resident of Ojo Caliente, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019. She was preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Augustin and Eloisa Campos; grandparents, Victor and Honorta Campos; uncle, Arsenio Campos; grandmother, Celia Alire: aunt, Serafina Alire; sister-in-law, Epimenia Aragon; and nephew, Rupert Aragon. Eva was born February 24, 1966 and was a 1984 graduate of Mesa Vista High School. She joined the United States Army in June of 1984 spent 6 years in the Army Reserve in Lubbock, TX and Albuquerque and was discharged with an Honorable Service Award  in 1990. She started working at the State of New Mexico as a Data Entry Employee in 1989. She then started college at the Santa Fe Community College as she worked as a state employee. She received her Associates in Computer Science in 1997. She attended the University of Phoenix receiving a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems in 2001. As a State Employee she rose to the rank of Chief Information Officer at the New Mexico Department of Transportation. After retiring from the New Mexico Dept. of Transportation, upon her retirement she created her own Business as a Consultant of Finance Systems. She also worked for the State of New York at the New York Department of Transportation. Eva is survived by her loving husband of 33 years Tommy Campos; children, Kevin, Agustine (Stephanie) and Kyle Campos; parents, Max and Adelia Campos; brother, Michael (Audra), sisters, Carol Sandoval (Tomas), Michelle Campos (Paul) and Judy Campos; brothers and sisters-in-law, Felipe Campos (Mary), Joe Campos (Naomi), Pete Campos (Rose), Eddie Campos (Carmen), Randy Campos, Leandro Campos, Susie Valdez ( Isaac), Mary Sanchez, Jenny Valdez (Ruben) and Margret Campos and special Goddaughter, Natalie Martinez and numerous relatives and friends. Devotional Service will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at El Buen Pastor Assembly of God Church in Española. Funeral Service will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at El Buen Pastor Assembly of God Church in Española with a burial to follow at 11:15 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
