CHARLIE FELIX SANCHEZ, 63, a resident of upper Llano de San Juan, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, July 13, 2018. He was preceded in death by his parents, Liberato and Celia Sanchez; brother, Robert Sanchez; infant sister, Celia Sanchez; paternal grandparents, Barolin and Petrolina Sanchez; maternal grandparents, Leopoldo and Sofiria Garcia. Charlie worked for the town of Taos for numerous years until his passing. He had a passion for ranching, was a jack of all trades and was an active member of the Morada in Llano de San Juan. Mr. Sanchez is survived by his wife, Brenda Sanchez; sons, Antonio Sanchez and Timothy Sanchez (Paula); grandchildren, Jerome and Julie Sanchez; brothers and sisters, Andie Sanchez, Larry Sanchez (Lucia), Moises Sanchez (Linda), AnnaBelle Baca (Anthony), Betsy Montano (Michael), Lorraine Padilla (Chad), Yolanda Sanchez, Darlene Valdez (John), Reggie Sanchez (Maria) and Christine Ramirez (Carlos) and numerous other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Monday, July 16, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. A rosary will be recited on Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at the San Antonio Catholic Church in Peñasco. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. also at the San Antonio Catholic Church in Peñasco. Burial to follow at La Morada Cemetery in Llano de San Juan with the following serving as pallbearers, Joseph Montaño, Macario Sanchez, Jose Maria Sanchez, Jesse Baca, Jerome Sanchez and Josh Valdez. Honorary pallbearers will be his granddaughter, Julie Sanchez and the rest of his nieces and nephews. The family of Charlie Felix Sanchez has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
