Alice Medina, age 90, a resident of Peñasco left this earth peacefully on Sunday October 21, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Alice was preceded in death by her parents Thomas & Vivianita Roybal, her husband Paul Medina, her sister Betty Pacheco, her brothers Joe and William Roybal, her sons Bobby and Anthony Medina and her grandson Freddie Lovato and great grandson Freddie Lovato. Alice was born to Thomas & Vivianita on November 3rd 1927. She was a devoted wife and mother. Alice was a devout catholic who always kept her faith in the lord knowing that one day she would be reunited with those who have gone before her into the kingdom of heaven. Alice was a humble, kind and gentle woman with a strong and unconditional love for her family who died with dignity. She was married to Paul for 52 years and missed him every day from his last breath to hers. She is survived by her sisters Edith Rodriguez, Eliza Roybal and Rosie Ryan, her brothers George, Thomas “Jumbe” and Roy Roybal, her daughters Judy Lovato, Mary Fells and JoAnn Kovacev, 9 grandchildren: Tracy, Bobby, Brenda, Dawn, Melissa, Christa, Robert Sevell, Davita and Paul, 23 great grandchildren and 17 great, great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church in Peñasco with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. also at San Antonio de Padua Catholic Church with interment to follow at the Peñasco Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Peñasco Community Center. The family of Alice Medina has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
