ADOLFO TORREZ SR., 52, a resident of La Petaca, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2019. He was preceded in death by his mother, Senovia Torrez; grandparents, Eufemia and Maclovio Torrez; brother, Jose Mendoza. Adolfo was a kind loving big hearted person who loved his family dearly. His wife, kids and grandbabies were the joy of his life. He loved spending his time in the mountains weather hauling wood, hunting, fishing and picking piñon. Adolfo had a great sense of humor always making everyone laugh with his jokes. He will be missed dearly by everyone who knew and loved him. Adolfo is survived by his wife of 30 years, Anita Torrez; sons, Adolfo Torrez Jr., Matthew Torrez and Dominic Torrez; Grandkids, Haidyn, Ashlynn, Dustyn, and Hunter Torrez; sister Eileen Jaramillo Montoya (Gene); father-in-law, Leroy Lujan; Aunt, Placida Roybal; sisters-in-law, Yvonne Kessinger, Crystal Mondragon (Tomike), and Felicia Sparks (Davy), brother-in-law, Brian Lujan (Ginger), and numerous relatives and friends whom he loved dearly. Public visitation will begin on Friday, August 30, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. at La Divina Pastora Catholic Church in La Petaca with a burial to follow at La Petaca Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Adolfo Jr., Matthew and Dominic Torrez, Tomike Mondragon, Larry Herrera, Jeffery Martinez, Brian Lujan and Davy Sparks. Honorary pallbearers are Josie Roybal, Darlene Roybal, Mae Gonzales, Haidyn Torrez, Ashlynn Torrez, Dustyn Torrez, and Hunter Torrez. The family of Adolfo Torrez has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
