Whispers From The Heart by Margie Martinez

Anyone that has lost a loved one, certainly knows that many emotions flood the mind and soul of those that are left behind.  A “Heart Whispers” sentiments that sometimes are difficult to interpret and capture in words. 

Having been touched by the realm of loss of life myself and through my Brother Johnny De Vargas' place of business, I have become aware that special words must be spoken to satisfy the heart's longing to say goodbye adequately. 

I have written 4 poetry booklets called “Come Home To Me”, The Journey Home”, “Lean On Me”, and “Into The Light”.  All have been well received by the community and utilized extensively in memorials and mementos of all types.  I am also the author of nearly all the readings in back of the memorial prayer cards used at services, both English and in Spanish.  All are intended to celebrate the life of the deceased.  I also create custom poetry used as keepsakes, newspaper publications, or other uses. 

 A “Memorial Wall”, entitled “Whispers From The Heart” is on exhibit at DeVargas Funeral Home for all who wish to contemplate on it.  Many have stood at this wall and cried in their grief.  My theory is that tears are what the Lord has provided to eventually help wash away grief, therefore, I will continue to dedicate that wall to those that have passed, and to those that grieve their loss.
