Xavior Martinez

d. August 4, 2017

On Friday, August 4, 2017, The Herrera and Martinez family suffered the loss of their precious boy as Heaven welcomed an Angel; Xavior Michael Martinez at the age of 5 years old.  Anyone who was blessed to meet Xavior felt their lives were touched by an Angel.  His bright smile would brighten everyone’s day.  He loved spending time with his mom at the pool.  He would tell her, “throw me in mom” and each time she did he would want to be thrown that much further and that much higher the next time.  He loved the bond he shared with his dad, he loved the time they spent in the mountains whether playing in the snow, camping, looking for sheds and hunting.  No matter the season, when his dad asked, “What do you want to do today?”, his response was more than likely.  “Let’s go to the monte.”  No words can express the impact he had and how much he will be missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his maternal great grandfather Thomas Archuleta of Chamita and paternal great grandmother, Lillian (Nika) Martinez of La Puebla. Xavior is survived by his mom, Michelle Herrera and fiancé Lamonte (Amont) Cole of Santa Fe; Xavior’s dad, David Martinez of La Puebla; His sister Kendra and brother Aiden both of Santa Fe; Maternal grandfather, Michael Herrera of Chamita and maternal grandmother, Angelica Archuleta of Chamita; Paternal grandmother, Ana (Nana) Martinez of La Puebla; Auntie Nicky (Mickey); Uncle Daniel and Auntie Mireya(TiTi); maternal great grandmothers, Manuelita Archuleta of Chamita and Amanda Herrera of Riverside; paternal great grandfather, David Martinez of Chimayo and many, many  other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Thursday, August 10, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. at the Lighthouse Church in Chimayo with a devotional service to follow at 6:30 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 11, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. also as the Lighthouse Church in Chimayo, with a burial to follow at the Lighthouse Cemetery in Chimayo.
