Velma Clevelle

VELMA F. CLEVELLE, 72, a resident of Abiquiu, passed away of a lengthy illness on Monday, October 2, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Rose Jaramillo; daughter, Monica. Velma was a retired U.S. Army Veteran. She was very active in her church parish and was a devoted member of the Society of San Antonio, the Society of San Jose, and the Morada de Moque. She loved spending time with her grandchildren more than anything. Velma was an avid reader and a gracious host. She was retired from Los Cumbres Learning Center in Española after 15 years of service. Velma is survived by her spouse, Ronald Clevelle; son, Jason Clevelle (Alyssa); grandchildren, Skylar Clevelle, Connor Middleton, Tabytha Clevelle, and Lyric Clevelle; siblings, Theresa Jaramillo (Antonio), Eppie Jaramillo, Ben Jaramillo (Sally), and nieces, nephews, cousins and other loved ones. Public visitation will begin on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Abiquiu, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. also at the St. Thomas Catholic Church in Abiquiu, followed with a burial at the Abiquiu Catholic Cemetery.
